An advertising agency may rely on photographers, translators, illustrators, animators and printers to deliver a campaign. That model can work well when responsibilities are clear. Before awarding a UAE project, understand which work the agency controls directly and how it checks outside contributions. The buyer needs a coherent delivery chain, especially where an error can be multiplied through print or many digital variations.

## Map who creates each component

Ask the agency to identify the roles it will subcontract and the person responsible for coordinating them. You do not need to manage every freelancer, but you should know whether a critical capability is already available or will be sourced after award.

Clarify who briefs the partner, checks the output and pays for corrections. A proposal that includes translation should explain whether the agency also checks the translated text after design. Otherwise the work may pass between suppliers with nobody owning the final integrated result.

## Examine evidence relevant to the assignment

Request examples of comparable production, with an explanation of the agency's role. For photography, discuss the required product access, shot list and approval process. For print, ask how artwork specifications and proofs are coordinated. Avoid treating a general supplier relationship as evidence of readiness for your particular job.

Where the production uses third-party content or people, ask how permissions are recorded. The agency should be able to explain the intended usage and any limits without relying on the claim that a partner always handles it. Important contractual questions need appropriate review before production begins.

## Plan for rework and substitution

Discuss what happens if a partner becomes unavailable or a sample fails approval. Identify which substitutions need client consent, particularly when a specific creative specialist influenced the award. Replacing a photographer or illustrator can change both the visual outcome and the schedule.

Agree how additional partner costs will be approved. A subcontractor's invoice should not become an automatic client obligation if the underlying work was never authorised. Keep the production estimate and approved changes connected to the main agency scope.

## Keep one accountable delivery route

Require the agency to consolidate production questions and present a complete proof for approval. The client should not have to reconcile incompatible instructions from a designer, translator and printer independently.

Finish due diligence with named ownership for each outside contribution and its final quality check. The goal is not to eliminate specialist partners. It is to make sure their work becomes an accurate, permissioned and usable part of the campaign under a clear agency responsibility.
