Oil and gas supplier due diligence should follow the actual delivery chain from contracting entity to manufacturer, service team and critical subcontractors. A strong corporate profile does not establish every source or capability behind the offer. Coordinate the review with competent engineering, quality, safety and legal personnel so each material question has an appropriate owner and evidence.

## Map the proposed supply chain

Identify what the bidder performs directly and what it obtains from other businesses. Record the proposed manufacturer, integrator, distributor and specialist service roles. Ask which sources are committed in the offer and how changes will be disclosed and approved.

For example, a distributor may hold a relevant commercial relationship while relying on a new manufacturer for the quoted package. The buyer should assess that source through the applicable project process rather than infer approval from the distributor's broader experience.

## Verify operator and scope claims

Ask for current qualification evidence relevant to the operator, project and product or service group. Verify it through the responsible route. ADNOC's Supplier Hub describes its own registration and prequalification process; that status should not be presented as universal approval for other buyers or a guarantee of award.

Have qualified teams review manufacturer approvals, technical evidence and service competence appropriate to the package. A collection of corporate certificates should not replace the project-specific records needed to establish the offered scope.

## Examine controls over delivery

Review document revision, source traceability, inspection or review stages and management of deviations. Ask how instructions from different project participants are reconciled and who may commit the supplier to changes. The buyer needs a controlled baseline, not an informal chain of decisions made to preserve an optimistic delivery date.

Assess resource and capacity dependencies with relevant specialists. Identify shared teams, critical upstream components and long-lead activities. Procurement can request a credible plan and evidence while competent personnel assess the technical and safety implications.

## Record limits and monitoring triggers

Document approved entities, sources, activities and conditions. Revisit affected checks when manufacturers, subcontractors, key personnel, sites or technical scope change. Use a bounded initial milestone and comparable references to support untested areas. Due diligence is valuable when it explains the actual package the buyer is relying on, without implying that a familiar oil and gas company name removes the need for operator approval, technical acceptance or continuing project oversight.
