In brief
A trader's UAE-wide coverage claim should be tested against the products, delivery windows and receiving controls at each site. Ambient, chilled and frozen ranges may use different storage and transport arrangements. The buyer needs to know how the actual route works rather than assume that one successful local delivery proves national capability.

Map demand and receiving constraints
List sites, product families, expected order frequency and receiving windows. Identify which items are essential to production and which can be consolidated into less frequent deliveries. Have the food-safety team establish the relevant handling and acceptance requirements for each product group.
Ask the trader which locations it serves directly and where it uses another distributor or transport company. A partner model can be suitable when responsibility and evidence remain clear.
Examine the route-specific arrangement
Request the ordering cutoff, delivery schedule and process for route changes. Ask how the supplier handles a missed receiving window or an unavailable item at a distant site. The proposed solution should fit the buyer's storage and production constraints, not simply move the problem to a local kitchen team.
For example, a trader may offer an approved product in one emirate but source an alternative for another branch. The central buyer needs to know that before assuming the same product schedule applies everywhere.
Test records and exception communication
Confirm that each delivery carries the relevant order, product and lot information. Establish the contact for held or rejected stock and the collection or investigation route at each location. A central salesperson should not be the only path to resolve a receiving issue during a busy delivery period.
Where another company transports the goods, ask how the trader receives information about handling exceptions and maintains responsibility for the agreed service. Have the qualified team assess the evidence for the actual product and route.
Approve coverage by product and location
Record the sites, ranges and delivery models reviewed. Identify any different charges, order minimums or lead times. Give branch teams instructions for reporting substitutions or discrepancies to the central owner.
Use initial deliveries to verify the arrangement before expanding the range. Reassess when the trader changes storage, transport or sourcing for a location. Meaningful coverage is a repeatable supply of the approved food with a workable response to exceptions, rather than a map on a brochure showing that the company can send a vehicle anywhere in the country.
