In brief
A financial-service handover should leave the authorised team able to operate, reconcile and obtain support for the account. Activation alone is not enough. The buyer needs clear entity roles, user authority, status definitions and reporting records, with sensitive access handled through the company's established controls.

Reconcile the accepted service scope
Compare the activated functions with the agreement and approved implementation changes. Identify which organisation provides each underlying activity and where technology support differs from financial-service support. Keep unresolved eligibility or contractual questions visible for the appropriate reviewers.
Record any feature that remains provisional or unavailable. A temporary workaround should not be described as full completion if the buyer has not accepted the reduced scope.
Confirm authorised access
Check that user roles reflect the company's approved responsibilities. Identify who administers access and how leavers or changed duties are handled. Do not place credentials or sensitive recovery information in an ordinary handover document.
Have the authorised receiving team confirm that it can use the approved access process. A service depending on one individual's account or a supplier employee's informal assistance has a continuity gap that should be resolved before routine reliance.
Verify reporting and reconciliation
Trace representative test or properly authorised activity through the agreed reports. Confirm stable identifiers, status meanings and the treatment of fees or adjustments. Finance should be able to connect the output with its records without guessing what a success or pending label means.
Consider a hypothetical account that processes an instruction but cannot produce the report format agreed for reconciliation. Record that as an open acceptance item rather than closing implementation because the front-end function works.
Transfer support and exception ownership
Identify the contact for failed instructions, disputed charges, unavailable reports and access issues. Clarify which entity coordinates with partners and what evidence the buyer supplies. Keep the company's normal approval process for corrective financial actions.
Receive the agreed operating guides, implementation records and unresolved-action list. Clarify permitted use and information retention through the appropriate policies and contract.
Reconcile implementation charges and approved changes before final closure. Acceptance should state the functions and controls verified, together with any conditions. The handover should support a maintainable business operation and a traceable account of what was delivered. It should not imply that activation guarantees every future transaction or replaces the company's continuing finance, legal and risk oversight of the service it has chosen.
